Kevin qualified as a solicitor in 1993 and established McErlean Weir Law Firm in 1998. Kevin has been admitted to practice as a solicitor in Northern Ireland.

LITIGATION

Kevin has over 20 years experience as a litigator, with particular emphasis on acting for insurers and insurance brokerages. His unrivalled expertise in the defence of all manner of insurance claims has gained Kevin a reputation for excellence in the field. His breadth of experience is well recognised and his professional practice spans a broad range of claims, including public liability, product liability, health and safety legislation and employer liability.

Kevin provides comprehensive, detailed advice on the legal interpretation, construction and application of all forms of insurance policies.  He has successfully handled proceedings in all courts, including Commercial Court.

CONVEYANCING

 

In the current healthy  market property transactions at MCEW have increased 25% year on year, this includes first time buyers and buyers moving up the property ladder. In a busy practice Kevin is insistent that every client has unique needs that must be provided for and each transaction is subjective. Property transactions are not just about  building and finance, inevitably the personalities  to a transaction must be considered so that a speedy successful outcome can be achieved.
